CrowMilk 96 Posted February 26, 2017 Stats real quick: SW - 298 CW - 246I had surgery 12/21/16 and have lost 52 lbs thus far. One would think losing that much weight would drastically affect your clothing options, however I am finding that I still don't fit in size 17 jeans when I was a size 18 in silvers. I'm packed in tight and cannot sit down. I can still fit comfortably in my "fat" jeans, though it's looser for sure.I'm not too worried about this because I know that I'll lose more, but it seems my thighs aren't losing the weight at all. Has anyone else had this kind of thing happen? 1 RockDaisy reacted to this
ssbthodge 92 Posted February 26, 2017 I'm having somewhat of the same problem. I was sleeved 1/31/17. I've lost almost 30 pounds and I don't really notice a difference in my clothes. I can tell by looking in the mirror that I've slimmed in my upper body but my stomach and legs are still the same. Some of my jeans fit a little looser in the thighs but still pretty much the same around the waist. I just keep waiting, I know i will get there soon. Hang in there!! Berry78 4,261 Posted February 26, 2017 Well, this is how I got over 300lbs without realizing it. I wear the same size/style of trousers all the way from 250lbs to 308lbs. (Basically 60lbs!) I did notice my t-shirt size went up from 2x to 3x.The good news is it won't take nearly as much weight for the next size down. (For me, about 25lbs).Good luck! Kestrael 42 Posted March 2, 2017 My starting and current stats are similar to yours. SW 310 and CW 259. So, 50 lbs down. But, my pants still have not gone down...they are loser though! Granted, I haven't tried to go shopping, but it is frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Dashofpixiedust8 1,469 Posted March 2, 2017 (edited) You don't always lose weight everywhere at the same time. The weight falls off from different parts of your body at different rates which is frustrating. Just like how everyone holds weight in different parts of your body you lose weight in different parts of your body at different rates. My pant size went down much slower than my top size. I'm down 226 pounds. I wore a size 6x (34/36 but I was stretching the limits) top and bottom before surgery. Then My top size went down to 30/32 then 26/28 then 22/24 but my bottom size went down to a 30/32 when my top was a 26/28 then it skipped the 26/28 and went right to 22/24. Weight loss can be frustrating but just know it will go down. It just may happen at a weird rate. Edited March 2, 2017 by Dashofpixiedust8
elliekay 189 Posted March 2, 2017 I just recently started noticing I could size down in pants--like everything has fit fine until the last 2 months--and I'm at over 100lbs lost. I think bigger sizes have more of a gap between them but I might be wrong on that. 1 Dashofpixiedust8 reacted to this

Those are juniors. They'd have different dimensions/measurements; crotch area will be smaller than a women's 16 or 18. Or maybe your pants were too small for your body before? Were you squeezed in them? But, I noticed others are having the same issue too. ??? Edited March 2, 2017 by Newme17
Sullie06 1,013 Posted March 2, 2017 I lost 30 pounds pre-op and didn't change clothing size at all, I've since lost 31 pounds post op and had a sudden change in size in the last 2 weeks. I went from a 22 to a 20, skipped 18 and can now wear size 16 jeans so 61 pounds and 4 sizes. However, I haven't changed from a 1X top, I could wear an XL but I look squeezed into it. My scale is moving much slower than my inches as well. 1 Dashofpixiedust8 reacted to this
