I miss food. Real food. I was sleeved 2/8/17 and have had a hard time transitioning to puréed. Nausea, feeling pains in the chest and left side.

I want real food and have tried various foods but guess my stomach is still swollen. So they said back to full fluids for a while.

I never thought it would be this hard to get my fluids and Protein in each day. All the shakes are disgusting and I just can't get them in the way I should.

Has anyone else gone through this? Does it get easier at all? Guess I've hit the regret stage. I dream about food every night. And all I see if real food everywhere I look and it's just so disheartening.

Sounds like the majority of us go through this. Try the Atkins Shakes..they were delish! Yes, it does get better. I am almost 6 weeks out, and getting some real food in..slowly. The dreams and cravings have all stopped for the most part.

I'm at the same stage you are where all I dream about is food and sitting down to yet another shake or another strained Soup makes me actually cry. I hope it gets better for both of us really soon <3

Will have to look into the Atkins stuff. I've had some Fairlife chocolate milk which I love, but worry about the sugar in it.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
