chache64 22 Posted February 25, 2017 I got a call this afternoon that there was a death in my doctors family. And my surgery was supposed to be Monday, 27 February. And now it is scheduled for Thursday 2 March. I will have been on the liquid diet for 16 days. Does anybody know if I go below 35 BMI will I still be able to go through with the surgery. I'm only 8 lbs from 35 BMI. If the surgery was on Monday I'd be fine....but Friday? I dunno 1 dvmp61 reacted to this
cajun_queen 94 Posted February 25, 2017 I don't think they would stop surgery if your BMI dropped. I think whatever they submitted to insurance will be what they go by. Don't sweat it!! 1 dvmp61 reacted to this
chache64 22 Posted February 25, 2017 Ok, thank you. That makes me feel better. The past 8 days have been stressful enough.[emoji4] 1 dvmp61 reacted to this

Stephanielp 120 Posted February 26, 2017 They don't count the surgery day weight most of the time and good work progress starts in the mind 1 chache64 reacted to this

chache64 22 Posted March 4, 2017 I'm day 3 post op. I feel like I'm going to die. Please tell me it gets better.
sleevinpops 303 Posted March 4, 2017 It does, hang in there cache, you can do this! I'm sure you are but figured I'd ask...Are you walking? That made a huge difference for me. The more I did, the better I felt.
dale.a 6 Posted March 4, 2017 I was just questioning the same thing. I am in my week pre-op diet and my BMI is right at 35. I do have a bunch of co-morbidities that qualified me, I was just hoping they don't weigh me again before surgery which is Wednesday.
chache64 22 Posted March 4, 2017 I have been walking. I feel a lot better since I had a shower and got cleaned up. Every time I was going to the bathroom to pee I'd feel like I was going to throw up. Thanks for your insight
chache64 22 Posted March 4, 2017 They did weigh me but it was just a formality. I was 3 lbs below the where I was supposed to be. No body said anything. 1 pretty.ruby reacted to this
