Woohoo popularity city for me today.

Good thing too since I am fucking crabby as hell. I need something to cheer me up and deter me from the gigantor ass bowl of halloween crap on my counter.

And thats why you're on my list!

Really though, I read the bicyling thread every day and crack up. You guys are hysterical!

You should join in on the convo lol. We love people to join our little warped group.

Honestly, I was going to, but I'm sooo not an elite biker babe like you guys. The closest I've come to biking is spinning. I actually took out my 18 speed bike from when I was a kid and fell off it! I have no balance!

I don't even own a bike and they've all welcomed me quite nicely... Lol.

It would be awesome to meet everybody - especially the ones that have been here a long time - duking it out over at Rants 'n Raves!

I may disagree with some of youse, especially 'bout politics, but I know we have a lot in common and it's obvious that you're very interesting!

I am somewhat isolated physically, where I live, so I would dearly love to have a gab-fest over coffee or a glass of the bubbly, with ya'll. I especially enjoy the people who are open and don't mind speaking their piece. I love learning from so many of you here at LBT and it would be fun to put faces with the names. In fact, even without meeting face to face, I feel like some of you are good friends!

Thanks to all of you who said they'd like to meet me - right back atcha!!! :kiss2:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
