It was not easy for me but if you want it to work you have to be in compliance. You can do it, stay persistent and stay away from sugar, Pasta, [emoji506] soda's and [emoji500].

I can say that starting 2 months after surgery my cycles became regular, and that has not bee the case ever. I was once or twice a year. So that is a big change. The acne didn't improve, so I saw a dermatologist in December and a prescription completely fixed that issue. Wish I had done that sooner too.

I don't have regular cycles either so that will be different and I don't really have acne I get break outs around the time I should get a period. My biggest issue is the extra hair on my face and my hair thinning on my head and the weight how has your weight been

Facial hair is still the same sadly. I had thinning hair before and as expected it got worse. But I do definitely see 2 inch hairs growing back now. And I'm hoping for a miracle of it growing back thicker. Yes I know this is a reach, but gotta dream :-) I just started Bioten a week ago. I figured it can't hurt.

Surgery was April last year. Down 90 lbs. Good luck you on Monday! Are you going through a program? Do you have a Nut? Support groups? Those things were very helpful for me.

It's not always easy to find people who understand the challenges you face after wls. I found the support group meetings to be very good in that regard. I hope you decide to give them a go.

So glad to see there are other PCOSers here! My surgery is next month. I'm hoping it resolves the insulin resistance, hair, etc. Best of luck to all of you!

Update. Im 5.5 months post op and got new labs this week.... my insulin level are down to normal, my testosterone levels are down to normal and I am ovulating on my town. Although we have to wait a few more months to try, my endocrinologist feels that we have a pretty good chance.of being successful. I'll be 46 years young and thanks tto the sleeve, a lot more healthy. Ive lost 82# from my heaviest weight and 70#since surgery.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
