kmmhmomof4 0 Posted September 27, 2007 I am 2 days post op. and starting to feel hungry, but having what i guess is gas pains when drinking my Water. Am moving around freely with minimum pain on getting up or down. The largest incision is pretty sore, but the other 5 aren't bad at all. Is all of this normal?? SHAND 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Yes It's Normal, I Had More Pain In My Left Shoulder Due To Gas But I Guess It Never Came Out. Have You Got Your Protein Drinks Yet? That Will Help You From Being Hungry Just Go Slow. And Try And Get Your Water In To That Helps The Hunger To. And broth. I Got My First Fill 3 Weeks After Surgery So Maybe It Won't Be To Long. Good Luck And Let Me Know If That Helps And Just Do What Ever Else The Doctor Says. Shand

BaytownBert 0 Posted September 28, 2007 Hello, my name is Bert and I am a foodaholic. LOL I am 4 days post-Op. Everything is going well.. I haven't had any gas or nausea. The first day post-op, I walked 2 times for a 1/8 mile total and took 2 naps. Day 2, I walked 1 time for a 1/16th mile and took 3 one hour naps. Day 3, I walked 1 time for a 1/16th mile and took a one hour nap. Today, I rode my bike for 20 minutes and took a 2 hour nap. I've sipped about a gallon of Water all 4 days and feel rested and no pain or meds.:clap2:

Yes, it's normal. The only thing that helped me with the gas pains was to walk a lot.
BaytownBert 0 Posted September 29, 2007 kmmhmomof4: Yuppers, it's very normal. It will pass over the next few days, just hang in there. You can try a heating pad to relieve the pain, but sip the Water and wait....then sip again. The first 3 days are like an out of body experience, but since I am a child of the 70's... :heh:
