Sorry I haven't written or responded in a while. I have had a very rough two months. I am officially 2 months out and I am just now starting to turn the corner. My hw 315, psw 269, sw 259, cw 233. The last 2 months since surgery I contracted cdiff, suffered from severe nausea and vomiting required multiple admissions for fluids and IV meds. Over the week, I have started drinking gingerale and for whatever reason I have all of a sudden started being able to hold food down. Today the doctor cleared me and I am doing so much better. I get to start my B12 injection and I got cleared to start working out. I am finally excited.

Glad you are now feeling better!

Ginger ale... not just for morning sickness! Do you drink it flat?

I was afraid of carbonated drinks myself, till I saw some researchers and surgeons talking about how irrelevant drinking carbonated drinks are down the line (drinks with zero sugar that is). I guess the initial worries are that you won't be able to meet Fluid and Protein gains because of all the gas

Happy you are doing better!!!

Glad you are getting cleared to workout. It helps. Listen to your body and when in doubt contact your NUT for clarity (something I do too):) People will have their "two cents" about "I would never do" but their body isn't yours so do what's best for you with approved doctors orders and wishing you all the best![emoji4]

Hang in there, the first year is the toughest from what I've heard in my local support group. You already lost quite a bit from what I read above, hang in there, I am certain it will keep getting better!

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
