If you have pain in the stomach area or feel uneasy getting up and lying down, try walking 2-3 minutes every 1 hour. Do not give up on walking. Don't overdo too. I found sitting up made be feel less bloated and a little comfortable (than lying), but painful at the same time. I had severe vomiting for 2 consecutive days after the surgery was done.
