Taking robitussin?

So I know it's okay to take the sugar free version of robitussin, however do I take the normal amount? I am 4.5 months post op.

I came down with a horrible chest cold last week and had to rely on tussin to help with the cough. I took the regular dosage and didn't have any issues. You could always take half a dose initially to see how you feel and then the other half a bit later if there aren't any problems.

I am a little over 2 months after the surgery. I was down with cold and flu 10 days ago and did take Tussin. I was scared first that I might throw up but it was alright. Please try half a spoon (half a tablet) of the dosage first and give it 15 minutes to see how you feel and then take the remaining dosage.
