carlychloe2 106 Posted March 1, 2017 I made it through surgery and at back home with my beloved dog, sipping the always constant Water and even doing some laundry:) last night was really rough but its amazing how well I feel now. I still have some very manageable pain from surgery and gas. To be truthful, the worst part of last night was my bum shoulder aching from lying on my back. Now, my worst moments are getting down my crushed meds. But...its all part of the journey and something I'm thrilled to share with all the wonderful ppl on this site! Did you have the sleeve or rny? Jeanne56 22 Posted March 5, 2017 How are all making out? Per doctor's plan I have graduated to a diet that includes sugar free Jello and pudding, along with plain (yuck) or vanilla Greek yogurt. Can also have plain ricotta cheese. All this with Protein Shakes. Can't believe how excited I was this morning to have first bit of jello. Now I'm nervous about hitting requirements for liquid and Proteins. Any suggestions for making all go down a bit easier or how to make all a bit more interesting? 1 gjb2017 reacted to this

Beachbum60 6 Posted March 12, 2017 Proud for you ! Just had my sleeve completed this past Thursday. No problems . What I found is that at 60, even now you must "mentally "prepare yourself. You will do great

gjb2017 71 Posted March 13, 2017 My surgery is tomorrow and along with being excited to start this phase of my life, I'm also terrified of everything that can go wrong...including failure and health issues or even death from surgery. Are these feelings normal? The minimal risk of death by surgery is the only reason I am telling my family. Just in case, you know...

I got my sleeve last Wednesday, 3/29/17 and am doing well. Rough night in the hospital, w nausea and gas pains, both from anastectic (sp). Also some high BP flaired up.... I was still able to go home the next afternoon, late. Just count on the pain lasting a good three days.....For me anyways. Doing much better today. Having some problems with getting all the Water down, ice chips have helped and popcicles! But for me, no hunger and no real desire to want to eat. I'll keep you all posted.... Thank you again. Best of luck to you all. 1 Vivian Krueget reacted to this
