What are some things you took with you, or things that you didn't bring but wish you would have brought? 1 strengthin#ers reacted to this

strengthin#ers 195 Posted February 22, 2017 All you really need is, clothes to leave in (which can be the same you came in) , toothbrush &paste. Some same Gas x stripes incase you have gas problems. Definitely carmex or whatever lip balm you use. hair accessories, some bottoms to walk in up and down the hall. I end up calling for feminine wipes. I came home today and didn't need anything but those. Blanket and pillow for ride home. Well wishes and blessings to you both. 1 bnicolexo reacted to this
NixNichi 79 Posted February 22, 2017 Yeah! Definetly a pillow for the ride home! I took a spare change of clothes (something loose that won't bother your stomach incisions) and of course the necessary toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash wipes). Other then that you won't need much else. I slept for most of the day of and morning after before I was released. I would prep more for after you get home (Like the Clear Liquids you'll need and some form of stool softener). 2 bnicolexo and strengthin#ers reacted to this
sleevinpops 303 Posted February 22, 2017 Pillow for the ride home, slippers and bathrobe if you prefer and change of clothes for when you leave. They will give you gasx, biogenesis, cepacol (sore throat), and toiletries if you need em. 2 Kearner and bnicolexo reacted to this

NerdyLexy 17 Posted February 28, 2017 You're date is same is mine. march 16. I was thinking the same thinking about what I should bring to the hospital for the 2 days I'm going to be there Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
clc9 644 Posted February 28, 2017 I didn't use anything I brought except slippers. Gas passing didn't start until I was home and even then, it's not gas with a smell, it's co2 gas from the surgery.

NixNichi 79 Posted February 28, 2017 I'm so confused on what "foods" I need when I get home. The doctor should give you a handout, or let you know! But just incase you should be able to have low sodium broth(chicken, beef, and vegetable), sugarfree Popsicles, and sugar free Jello and sugar free cranberry juice. You should also get protien drinks like Isopure or nectar. They fall under the clear liquids category more so then protien drinks that are like....milky. once gain make sure and talk to your surgeon because he should be going over this with you before your surgery! Hope that helps! 1 ThickGirl5683 reacted to this
