I scheduled my surgery 5 days after.my.approval... it was insane. I called my Dr as soon as I hung up with the insurance. (Oh and I emailed the Dr too)... A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted February 22, 2017 The tests will depend on your doctor. I had to go for a blood draw, chest X-ray, EKG, and endoscopy. He also wants me to take results to my regular doctor for her to sign off on it. tamara2333 33 Posted February 22, 2017 Once I was approved the patient coordinator called me and gave me a date exactly two weeks from that day. If you haven't already done your testing ( my insurance required it before hand) you will have to get blood drawn, EGD, and a EKG and you may have to do a liquid diet. ThickGirl5683 318 Posted February 22, 2017 I'm waiting on the scheduler from my Dr's office to call me with my date and the date for my tests!!!
