Have you been denied by insurance? If so, what were their reasoning behind it?

What was your insurance that denied you for surgery?

Were you able to successfully appeal their denial?

Just got denied today...pretty bummed BUT the good news is my Dr. Was trying to preauthorize BEFORE doing supervised diet. I had sleeve back in 2012 and since then had a baby, let myself go and not only gained all my weight back, i added an extra 100 lbs in there (so humiliating:-/ ) so the dr. thought they might approve me without a diet. WRONG! Insurance said I have to complete a 4-5 month supervised diet and exercise plan. I think ita weird that they said 4-5 months, like can you be more vague! Im gonna push for 5 months so the chances of a second denial are slim. Hoping for approval and surgery sometime August...wish me luck! Good luck to you as well!
