I found them on sale at my local Walmart for $3 so I stacked up on them with out even looking into it. I know it says no sugar and no carbs

We can't get them from walmart as we don't have them in UK. We tried order from walmart and they don't ship out side the us . I live in the UK. They treat me for malnutrition then send me home again. Dicussting 12 years I have put up with this.

I heard of them but not too familiar. Muscle Milk has more Protein. It is what I will use for my pre & op diet & lifestyle in general too. Muscle milk has zero sugar & 25 grams of protein. Some of them have 2 grams of sugar & the 100 calories ones have no sugar. They also have one that has about 220 or 260 calories with 40 grams of protein. So any formula in the muscle milk is a great source of protein. Watch out for the cyto muscle milk its not the geniune one. It has to say Genuine Muscle Milk. I get them at Walmart for 2.98. Also on Amazon I can get a case of 12. They come in 14 oz& 17 oz ready to drink. Also they come in powder mix. Just putting that out there. Still, good to try different brands. I read where someone stated that their taste changed after surgery and they suggest to not buy all in one flavor or brand. Mix them up.

I know we need to think about the volume (oz) of the drink and how much Protein is in it. Our stomachs are smaller so we need to get more protein with little effort.
In other words the more protein in the bottle the better...being that we need 60-80 grams a day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
