I'm one year post op as of 2-17-17..... I have been teetering between 201-204 for well over a month.....My Dr said it's my body's metabolism catching up and that it will start coming off again as long as I keep doing what I'm suppose to be doing. I'm just so desperate to see 199 on that scale!! She was very pleased with my progress thus far so that's a good thing [emoji16][emoji106]...Hubby and I are going to check out some gyms tomorrow....it's time to do something other then walking [emoji106]

9 months I noticed it slowed and then started again. At 15 months post op I gained 6 pounds all my fault eating too many carbs and junk. Now to lose weight I have to stick to the basics and diet and exercise keep it no gluten works best for me. I have to eat carbs cause I can't tolerate eating much Protein.< br>

Thanks for the reply! I did finally break out of the 200's and now teeter between 198-200...I'd still like to lose another 25-30 lbs but it's not looking like that's going to happen Regardless I'm a much happier person now then I was at 324lbs!

I have gained up to 194.I see someone has something called no surgery on this web, Do you know if this will work with my pouch? I can not gain my weight back,I would rather die .

Linda Irene.....I haven't seen the no surgery ...is it the pouch reset people talk about? Going back to the basics of the first few weeks of surgery? If so it can't hurt to give it a try! I'm finding the carb monster creeping up on me lately and have to knock him out before I start to gain...I'm 13 months post op and having a hard time dropping weight now [emoji1304]

I wouldn't go back to a liquid diet, that's a fad diet at this point. Instead, focus on Protein first, weigh out the appropriate amount, then vegetables. And don't drink your calories. Are you tracking your food online or in a journal? If not, that can really help. Good luck!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
