crawford8903 33 Posted February 20, 2017 What did your nutritionist say? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
bbk95 15 Posted February 20, 2017 That she wouldn't send my information to my surgeon yet till I lost some weight and that I'd need to continue seeing her till I can lose some weight
crawford8903 33 Posted February 20, 2017 How long do you have to wait now? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Vinasu 621 Posted February 20, 2017 My surgeon doesn't operate unless you lose 10% of your excess weight first to prove you can stick to a plan. Others don't care. Luck of the draw. 1 dvmp61 reacted to this

tlh4life 66 Posted February 20, 2017 Yes, I gained weight during the 6 months of nutrition classes. My insurance company doesn't require a certain amount of weight loss. My surgeon recommends losing 5-10 pounds before surgery. I imagine most of that will also come off during the pre-op diet. 3 dvmp61, longlashes23 and mochamommy727 reacted to this
HB76356 122 Posted February 21, 2017 I didn't gain, but around the 4th month (6 month wait per insurance with 2lbs a month lost.)I just doubled down on the nutrition and the gym and lost about 47 all together. You take whatever happens with the nutritionist and keep moving forward. There will be plenty of ups and downs. 2 bbk95 and dvmp61 reacted to this

littlederek 7 Posted February 23, 2017 I did also, if you wanna make sure you make the previous op weight, find a spa with an infrared sauna and make the appointment right before you weigh in, I dropped 5 lbs in 45 min and finally got to my weight
littlederek 7 Posted February 23, 2017 Yup! The same thing my nutritionist said, It took me 2 added months to get to my weight to be submitted for approval
