4.5 months update & pics

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I'm 4.5 months post-op sleeve and feel amazing. Some of the things that continue to amaze me lately are trying on clothes and having to double check the size...could that really be a 10?? Also doing things out all day and rarely feeling tired. What a gift! If only I had done this years ago!! I'm about 30 lbs from goal, and feel confident I'll get there sometime this summer. ;-)

Eating is getting a tiny bit easier. I can now eat 3 oz at a time without too much trouble. I am able to enjoy quite a variety of vegetables and salads now, which I had really missed the first 4 months. My diet is mainly meats and fish, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, yogurt and a variety of cheeses. I'm exercising about 3 times a week for one hour. Life is good!

Yay! You look great!!

We are in a similar spot. 10's are fitting me, too and I'm starting to fit into 8's. It's amazing and mind boggling. I, too, am thinking I'll be to goal sometime this summer. I wish it were sooner, but I'm just coming off a month long stall and my weight loss has slowed to an average of 5 pounds a month. I can't even complain, really. As long as it's leaving, I'm ok with it. :D

Same here! My weight loss is down to 5 lbs a month as well but I'm fine with that also. And like you, I just got off of a really long stall!! Congrats on your size 10s and soon to be 8s!!!!

You look amazing. This journey has been a blessing for me as well. I'm 4.5 monthes out too and the changes are sooo welcomed. Hw 350 sw 301 cw 235. Though I am in a stall, I feel amazing. Golfing, walking, playing basketball with grandson and dancing with grand dtr. Things I always said "I'm too tired" to do. Wish I would have done this sooner. No longer on meds for diabetes. Praise God. I go up and downstairs without holding railing or stopping to catch breath.
Can't imagine what I'm gonna feel like when I get in the 100s.
God bless and thanks for sharing.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
