biginjapan 647 Posted February 19, 2017 I was told to start taking Vitamins in the 2nd week post-op. There's no requirements about gummies or not, but I bought a whole bunch in anticipation of not being able to take larger pills post op. In actual fact I can take most pills, but I'm going to start with the gummies since they won't last that long here in Japan in the summer heat - so I might as well finish them now while it's cool. shawnak911 60 Posted February 19, 2017 I had to start the Vitamin regimen day three. Multi vitamin chewable twice a day, calcium chews three times a day, Iron, B12 and Vitamin D.< br>
hermione53 157 Posted February 19, 2017 I bought some Multivitamin gummies when I'd left my chewables at home a few weeks ago. I've had them a few times no problem and am 9 weeks post-op. I was put on a Vitamin regimen just like the above poster on day ten. I also recently started taking Biotin in hopes of avoiding some of the expected Hair loss. LivsMum 9 Posted February 20, 2017 I was instructed to start full supplements 1 week post op. gummies are discouraged because most are high in sugar.
TexasguyEP 56 Posted February 20, 2017 Where does everyone get their vitamins/supplements from? I'm curious about ordering from Nutrion direct, $25/monthly with multivitamin, Iron, Calcium and B12 included, home delivered and automatically sends after you sign up. But sounds too good. Lucky13inBR 6 Posted February 20, 2017 My Gummy multi Vitamin is 2 g sugar. Is that too high? I only need one a day. Thx!
rbaertsch 34 Posted February 20, 2017 My nutritionist said gummies are not allowed because the body doesn't absorb the nutrients as well. She suggests chewable only. I use BariMelts. I order them from Amazon and they are tolerable. The Calcium and Biotin are actually very tasty, but I'm hoping to get cleared to switch to a pill at my 3 month post op. 1 TexasguyEP reacted to this
