mrsmjmillet 0 Posted February 18, 2017 Hi all! I am 4 days post op lap RNY. Wanting to know what/how much is safe to take to get things moving? I'm doing tons of walking and getting plenty of fluids, but am still having pretty uncomfortable cramping. No BM yet but passing little bit of gas. Your suggestions would be appreciated! jennrdh1 0 Posted February 26, 2017 Hi! I was in the same boat since my RNY was done on 02/20. My nutritionist gave me info before I left the hospital and said that if you had problems with that, you could use suppositories or an enema. Got the Duculax suppositories and it worked great. You may want to try that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Airstream88 361 Posted February 26, 2017 You can drink Smooth Move Tea. It definitely helps me when I'm constipated. Also Colace stool softener is good. I have resorted to enemas a few times. Now that I can eat all my Protein via real food, I haven't had any issues. 2 Dlhandel and OmaJ reacted to this
TracieSue 36 Posted March 6, 2017 I am terribly constipated if I don't drink at least 64 ounces of water!Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Dlhandel 3 Posted March 12, 2017 A warm cup of Smooth Move Tea made by Traditional Medicine works great! It was recommended by the head of the bariatric program at the hospital I went to. 1 OmaJ reacted to this
