c86mc 24 Posted February 18, 2017 So I mentioned last week that I was not losing weight. Well nothings changed. In fact I've gained 2 pounds! I'm getting very discouraged. I'm eating perfectly. Literally just Protein, veggies, and fruit. Getting in all my Water and Vitamins. Walking a mile a day, and still nothing! I'm so confused and I'm starting to feel like this surgery was for nothing. Dairymary 533 Posted February 18, 2017 How much Water? How much Protein? How many carbs? How far out are you?
c86mc 24 Posted February 18, 2017 70oz Water. At least 60 grams of Protein. 2 months post op
c86mc 24 Posted February 18, 2017 I dont count carbs. But the only thing they would be in is my fruit and yogurt. Like I went over my diet with a dietitian and she said it was perfect
clc9 644 Posted February 18, 2017 Probably just a normal stall. 1 tearsofapache reacted to this
Travelher 915 Posted February 18, 2017 Just a stall it happens, sometimes you just need to wait them out. I've had many as you can see. Did nothing to try and move them other that wait. 4 Dairymary, tearsofapache, TommieT and 1 other reacted to this
Dairymary 533 Posted February 18, 2017 Sounds like a normal gain/stall to me and it likely won't be your last. And if your nut says it's OK then it must be so you can probably just keep doing what you're doing. Personally I counted everything and would up my Water and Protein and watch the carbs, but I'm not the one getting paid to give you advice.
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted February 18, 2017 Are you noting down everything you are eating/drinking? Are you constipated, exercising, due on your monthly? Are you in a stall?
shicks128 0 Posted February 19, 2017 My doctor says no fruit! No fruit until you hit goal. Protein protein protein. 60 grams of protein and tons of Water.
YMof4 11 Posted February 19, 2017 Sorry for the Tmi, but Are ur BMs normal?? I had a stall this last week and Miralax helped tremendously and the scale has lowered !! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App 1 bossportsgal reacted to this
sleevegirl24 3 Posted February 19, 2017 I've also heard that if you don't eat enough, you won't lose any weight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
stayathmmom3 5 Posted February 19, 2017 I would up your Protein to between 90-100 grams and for fruit just eat berries they are the lowest in sugars and carbs. My doctor also says to stay away from fruits until goal. What kind of yogurt are you eating? Some are pretty high in sugar. I eat Greek okios zero or dannon light and fit Greek yogurts. It is very normal to stall and gain a couple of pounds at around 2 months out. It happened to me and was feeling the same way as you. I sometimes do a liquid day or two when I see things slowing down that seems to help. I hope this helps you Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App 2 GrrlAnn and duchess abeni reacted to this
TracieSue 36 Posted February 19, 2017 Same thing with me and I'm almost 2 months out! Just be patient, I think it's our bodies way of readjusting and healing. I'm confident the weight will start coming off again as my extensive research points in this exact path! We're doing everything right and our bodies are going to get with the program really soon!Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App 1 GrrlAnn reacted to this
