Hi everyone! I am about 2.5 weeks out, and for some reason I am having such a hard time dropping weight. The day of my surgery I was 316, and when I went in for my 1 week F/U I was down to 304. I couldn't believe how quickly I lost that! Now it's a week and a half later and I am at 300, but I have been there for the past 4 days. Is it normal to kind of stall out for a little around this time frame? I have my 3 week F/U appointment this upcoming Wednesday, and I am worried that my doctor will be disappointed or think that I am not following my diet if I do not lose more than that beforehand. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, it is completely normal to stall at that point. It happened to me and it happens to many people.... I've read many people post about it here.

You just had major surgery, your body has been through a lot and you are dropping weight quickly.... your body needs time to heal and to adjust to the weight loss.

Just keep up the good work and the pounds will start falling off again before too long. And I'm sure your doctor is very familiar with the fact that people "stall", so I'm sure he won't be upset. Don't worry. :)

I stalled for 2 weeks, and then lost 6 lbs since then. Stalls happen for all of us. Just stick to your plan. It is practically impossible to gain weight on the amount of calories we are eating.

I found that my stall was due to no BMs. Even though I'm not really eating much.. fat can only leave your body one way. I got Benefiber on the go packets. I put one in my morning Protein Drink and another in my last glass of Water of the day. Made a big difference!
