Torriluv87 300 Posted February 18, 2017 Hey girl hey! Brooklyn over here! I Didn't buy much of anything for post op cause i was scared i wouldn't be able to tolerate or like any of the stuff. Definitely look into samples. I wish i had. Mostly i bought Jello and bouillon and broth. And icies are the best right after. I wouldn't buy too much until you figure out what you like and what works for you. You don't want to be stuck with a bunch of stuff you can't and don't want to eat or drink. Measuring cups, a food scale, a shaker bottle has been my life saver. And i think ziploc or glad makes little 1/2 cup storage containers. I've been using them to eat and carry my food, so convenient. I don't have much to offer but congrats on your upcoming surgery!
Belladonnis 32 Posted February 18, 2017 I liked the Better than Bullion brand to make my broths. It is a paste and in jars that have to be refrigerated. They have Rotisserie chicken, Seasoned Vegetable and Roast Beef. They are great alone or mix together. I bought 2 packs of the Glad 4oz containers as dinnerware. Lol Sugar free popsicles, which are my fav now for a sweet treat. Premier Protein drinks and food scale from Walmart. When you start moving to soft foods read.....read.....read your labels. I am supposed to stay with 5 grams fat and 15 grams carbs. I check sugar content, well everything. Good luck! 1 bubbz333 reacted to this

Mandybb 183 Posted February 18, 2017 Agreed! food scale, Premier Protein shakes (available at Walmart and Walgreens here), sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello, broth (I got lots of Vietnamese pho and wonton Soup but just drink the broth no noodles). However when you can eat again, a single wonton with broth is yummy. Just make sure your choices are as close to sugar free as possible and low carb. You want to get in your Protein so that's where the shakes help a lot! Also don't forget you need water!! Some people do crystal light, sugar free Powerade, diet Snapple. I found I couldn't get Water down easily after surgery so Powerade zero was a life saver!Good luck with your surgery!!
SLIMPICKENS55 41 Posted February 19, 2017 These are great. My dannon faves are banana cream and strawberry cheesecake. I believe they've saved me in the past week from going off LOLSent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
