falconfan11 2 Posted February 17, 2017 Anybody else can't stand the flavor or the texture of the Vitamins? I have both the chewables in the baratric advantage products. I'm not sure if I pick the wrong flavor of the Calcium (caramel) but I can't stand it. That goes the same for the Multivitamin I can't stand the texture and taste of chalky medicine. Before my surgery (12/22/17) they offered a liquid compound that took care of the calcium and Multivitamins all in one but they discontinued the product. What are y'all taking and what flavors y'all suggest? 1 dvmp61 reacted to this
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted February 17, 2017 I had Centrum chewables straight after surgery and also Calcichew D3Forte. I liked both of them. 18 months out, I still have the Calcichew but take regular Vitamins. I have just ordered Patches, they had a really good offer on via PatchMD so ordered 6 months worth. Hope you find something you like !! 2 dvmp61 and falconfan11 reacted to this

jenndogg 23 Posted February 17, 2017 I take Centrum chewable Multivitamins, and Gummy form of B12 and Vitamin D. I hate the chalky Vitamin taste as well, but the Centrum isn't THAT bad lol. I heard about the Patches, but haven't tried them. If you purchase, let us know how it works out! @falconfan11
Jeni42 3 Posted February 25, 2017 I bought these and they are horrid. Nastiest Vitamins I've ever put in my mouth. $20 down the drain 1 dvmp61 reacted to this
dyemond11 43 Posted February 25, 2017 I bought these and they are horrid. Nastiest Vitamins I've ever put in my mouth. $20 down the drain I bought those same vitamins... they are very difficult to take, the smell is horrible. When I do finally get them down I have to make sure Ive eaten something or not mix with other supplements or I'll vomit. I definitely have to find an alternative for the Multi Vitamins. The other products that I've used through Bariatric Pal have been great.Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App 1 dvmp61 reacted to this

What are y'all taking and what flavors y'all suggest? My doctor recommended Nutrition Direct. The sign-up was sent in from my doctor's office, and the company works with your insurance to keep costs down. They deliver directly to your door, and the Vitamins are specifically for bariatric patients. They have chewables and tablets. It also includes a nasal spray you take once a week to address B12 deficiencies. You get a month's supply, and I have AETNA insurance, so I paid $25 for all of it. dvmp61 44 Posted February 26, 2017 I will say that I tried the chewables from Nutrition Direct, and they were okay the first couple of days, then they started making me sick to my stomach. So I called and switched to the tablets. So I will try those for my next shipment.
