ashleydavina 1 Posted February 17, 2017 Has anyone had a glass of wine? I'm almost 6 weeks out and a glass sounds nice. How long did you wait? No rude comments please )
clc9 644 Posted February 17, 2017 It should be in the guidelines your doctor gave you. Every surgeon seems to have different rules. Find out what yours says...
carolyndd6 10 Posted February 17, 2017 My doctor said to wait 6 months before any drinking. Be careful cause they say it doesn't take much for the alcohol to hit youSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using BariatricPal mobile app

carolyndd6 10 Posted February 17, 2017 That's great. But when you do just drink very little. That said since we have small stomachs now it wouldn't take much to get drunk. I love Margaritas and leave on a cruise in two weeks with free drinks in the casino. But guess what. Lol. Not this trip. But glad you are going to wait. Cher-real 6 Posted February 19, 2017 I am 5 weeks out and almost completely liquid diet still.. having difficulty transitioning. BUT I have a lot of social events coming up and figured I'd rather try to drink at home first.. to see what I could handle. The first night I had 4oz of wine... no problems at all. I was so happy bcs I finally felt a little normal for the first time in awhile. We should stay away from sugar .. like frozen drinks. Vodka is supposedly better.. but I was always a beer/wine girl. Today hubby and I walked a couple miles in the beach.. then I tried a Bloody Mary .. went down well and stayed down. 1 BuffyBD reacted to this
