Resha 23 Posted February 17, 2017 I just got sleeved on the 15th of Feb and I need a change of scenery. I want to take an 8 hour car trip to Atlanta, even though I'm still in a lil pain from my incisions. I wouldn't be driving, but I'd just like to get some advice and opinions from you all 1 tiffdn25 reacted to this
kimberb 323 Posted February 17, 2017 I had a 5hr road trip after getting out of hospital. It was horrible. I was very uncomfortable which made me very cranky. You need rest, fluids and protien. Can you do that on your trip? You may be different from me.
puppyloverls3 17 Posted February 21, 2017 I had two, three hour plane rides from Mexico 3 days after surgery and although there was some discomfort at times, it wasn't unmanageable and WELL WORTH the trip. I'd say driving is much better because first of all you can stretch out A LOT more than on a plane AND you can stop whenever you need to get out and walk! I say go for it--the mental health part of it is irreplacable! Good Luck!
