TonyaB 2 Posted February 19, 2017 Nmelo723 I know it seems long to me as well. My insurance requires the 6 months of changing the eating habits for approval despite the other medical conditions and numerous medications I am currently taking. Patiently waiting. 1 Nmelo723 reacted to this
Nmelo723 24 Posted February 19, 2017 Wish you the best@tonyaB, how far into the process are you? I'm completely psyched to be transitioning into a better and healthier lifestyle not only for me but for my son as well. [emoji272][emoji813]️
TonyaB 2 Posted February 19, 2017 @Nmelo723, I am just really starting the journey but worked a little backwards. Lol, I recently had lab work, sleep study, pulmonary visit, then info session. Now scheduled to meet with surgeon [emoji40] on 2/27 for the rest. My PCP was trying to rule out thyroid and kidney issues first. Always struggled with Migraines and history of high blood pressure. Even tried and was successful with weight loss on my own 2 years ago but don't know what happened. Ready to take my life back!!!! Ready for this journey. Best of luck to you. We got THIS! Nmelo723 24 Posted February 19, 2017 @tonyab I also struggle from chronic Migraines, I was diagnosed with 2 mini strokes. They believe it happened years ago and recently been having high blood pressure, also neurologist believes I might be having vision problems due to the weight gain. I've never been able to lose more than 15 pounds. And even then didn't manage to keep the weight off I gained 20lbs in 1 month and 10 the following (previous 2 months) my PCP also ruled out thyroid problems. How long has your process taken you? Kind of an odd situation to have everything done before even meeting with the surgeon; did you PCP conduct those tests? And will you have all the info transferred over to your WLS clinic? I want my PCP to conduct all the tests since it'll be faster. But not sure if it's acceptable. [emoji272][emoji813]️
