I'm getting sleeved in Los Angeles on Feb 27th also . Started pre op diet on Monday and it's been a good way to prepare for what's in store for after the surgery . I am 62 and weigh 262. Finally getting excited about the surgery and will probably start to get nervous the night before .

I would love to try to keep in contact. If you do Facebook we could use messenger, which would be easier. Just friend request Sally Wilkinson from Columbus, Georgia ( I live back in S. Florida now).

I'm not sure if this is going public or if it is a private message. I'll hit send and see where it shows up.

I'm getting sleeved the day after on the 28th, on pre-op liquid diet now. Are you doing a pre op diet?

Hi, well...I start the pre op diet on Sunday. liquid Protein Shakes, crystal light and Water only for eight days. We are probably about the same size now because I am 5 inches shorter than you. I wear a 2x 18/20 now. I'll turn 49 on the day of surgery. Tomorrow I'm going to hear Trump speak at the Melbourne, Florida rally and tomorrow is my last day on food for a looooong time!

Your goal weight seems low for your height but I'm probably just saying that because I put my goal weight a bit high at 140 for myself. Lol

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
