Excited For A Future When Full Body Pics Are Fun

Recommended Posts

Let me speak for everyone and say Full Body Picks at your High Weight are as much Fun as a Root Canal. I am looking forward to standing in front of the crowd on Group Pictures instead of hiding behind 3 or 4 people so you can only see my head. I Love Myself Plenty and Honestly Spit a lot of Game for a Big Guy but I have a lot of room for improvement and intend on putting the Best Me back out in the World. So one of my Goals for 2017 is to stop hiding from the Camera and expose myself just as I am and let the changes be seen in the Photo's.

I honestly thought I was the only one that did that. :D. I will do my before and after pics when I can finally get 'Before pics' that I wasn't hiding behind people, or didn't take from a 'favourable' camera angle. Might need friends to send me random/candid pictures

Yes.... you guys. You have to. We all hid from the camera. In fact that was one of my turning points...... My soon to be ex husband took pictures and i didn't know.. and when i looked at them i was like .... Who's that?... it was me. I didn't recognize myself. I just sat and cried my eyes out...... I wasn't always big.... in my twenties i was about 100lbs. Hell i was 130 the day i gave birth to my second son.

Tell your friends to PM you pictures... you will be amazed when you see the changes.... I wish i would have taken more during pictures.... i really wish i had taken them in the same clothes. But i didn't get that advice..... SO i'm giving it to ya'll......

I hear ya! I'm finally getting to a place in my weight loss, that I'm not ashamed to have my picture taken. Now don't get me wrong, I still try to pose in certain ways that accentuate my positives and cover my negatives. I feel like I will always be a little insecure.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
