jrc440 4 Posted February 15, 2017 I am a week post op and most days this week I have felt good about the decision despite pain, discomfort and some head hunger. Today, anxiety smacked me in the face and I thought, what the **** did I just do?? I honestly know this is a great decision, and I am recovering well, but I can't help today to just be freaked out about just having most of a healthy major organ cut out of my body. Anyone else? Words of wisdom? 1 clc9 reacted to this
Cindi_Augustine 102 Posted February 15, 2017 I think this is far more common than uncommon. We made a decision to alter our bodies and we think maybe unlike other surgeries this one is not mandatory. I do see it as mandatory. I spent 40 years trying to lose weight and just got heavier. Obesity is a disease that kills. No surgery should be taken lightly and there are pro's and cons. The pros far surpassed the cons for me, and that's what I kept remembering when I was scared. You're doing great. Hang in there. it gets easier. 1 clc9 reacted to this
