triplethreat 257 Posted February 12, 2017 I am at gw (actually below it but haven't updated stats). I went from size 20 to size 8. Prior to wls I had my gb removed and had a true emergency c-section with vertical incision, so my abdomen is definitely scarred. It's also flabbier than I would like, which I'm working on... At my 6 month visit my surgeon asked if I would have a Tummy Tuck. He told me I'd be a size or two smaller and overall have a nicer (less flab) shape. Given that my stomach is scarred pretty badly I'm not going to be wearing any midriff bearing clothes, and I am overall happy with how I look. However the flab bugs me!! The cost of surgery is pretty high for a vanity project, I have some loose skin but it's not bad. Anyone in a similar situation who did or didn't have a tt and is happy with the results? doringen 1 Posted February 12, 2017 my mother, who had bypass about 5 years ago just got her extra skin removed (somehow got it covered by insurance) on monday. she's expected to be out of work for 2 months and so far she's been in a lot of pain. not sure how it will look down the line but there's a gigantic scar at the moment. triplethreat 257 Posted February 12, 2017 Did she have a lot of extra skin? I don't, which is what makes it hard to justify.
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted February 12, 2017 I had a TT (plus other suff) 5 weeks ago. I had quite a bit of excess skin but with spanx/clothes on it was hard to tell. I still wanted it and even though I am still swollen, I am really happy with the results. Kate 1 shawnak911 reacted to this
