For any surgery, they typically require an EKG within 90 days & the blood work (CBC & CMP) within 30. Maybe you'll get those orders at your pre-op visit?? My surgery is scheduled for September 8th. It doesn't even sound like there is a pre-op appointment. It sounded like I will get some calls from the hospital. One to go over medical history and another to schedule the time of the surgery. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

Since your surgery is at a hospital (not a surgical center), they'll likely have you arrive a bit earlier for the pre-op testing. If you're worried, definitely call your surgeon's office to confirm!! I'm sure they won't mind… and better safe than sorry. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

They did mention about showing up an hour before surgery but I thought that would be the check in process. I'll wait a week and maybe contact them just to verify. sgc 538 Posted August 20, 2017 I received in the mail today an order form from the surgeon for a blood test. That makes me feel better.
Stella S 612 Posted August 21, 2017 So it is coming together! In my paperwork I had to be cleared by my primary - mammogram EKG Blood work No anesthesiologist will touch you without n EKG so it may come that route. Best!

sgc 538 Posted September 11, 2017 Had the surgery. Everything seems to have went well. No pain. Didn't even need to use my pain medicine. One of my drains literally fell out so I only have three. Had some bad itching. Doctor took some plastic strips off that was irritating my skin. That's better now. Don't really have after pics yet. sgc 538 Posted September 12, 2017 I feel pretty much normal. It does feel tight. I cannot really bend over. Hoping it gets more flexible as swelling reduces. Stomach is pretty swollen. Looks like I have a little beer belly. Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk 2 Stella S and JohnGraySmiley reacted to this

sgc 538 Posted September 13, 2017 Looking like Monday is the earliest to remove these drains. I think I'm at a disadvantage since one fell out a day after so I only have three. Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk
sgc 538 Posted September 15, 2017 Drains still don't seem to be close to being removed. During the day there isn't much Fluid but at night I get a lot. I think I'm at a disadvantage since one fell out only a day after surgery so I've been going with only three.
