I'm not religious but I appreciate those who are. He does not hate you, maybe he's testing your will? Time to prove that you can do it, not only to him but yourself as well.

Dont count lbs day to day. Your six days post op which means youre probably swollen, bloated, and still retaining Water from the anesthesia and countless IVs. Count week to week. So what if you "only" lost 3lbs in a week. Keep that up and a year from now you could lose 150lbs+ (I don't know how much you have to lose but regardless, those are some pretty good #s right there)

Keep following the plan and it will come off, I promise!

Take a deep breath. Most people gain weight in the hospital because of all the fluids. Your body is healing, the stomach us in chaos. You will be fine. Give it a week. And by the way God loves you as he does all of us on this journey.

You may have gained weight in the hospital. I gained 3 pounds from admitting to just as soon as I got home.

Remember or please note. God made your body to heal itself. It goes into survival mode the instant things start changing. From food intake to surgery. So no God don't hate you on the contrary He loves you more than you could ever know.... and He's right there with you. So keep your smile and know that your body is some what like a navigation system. It will recalculate as soon as it realize it's not in trouble, and the weight will drop off.[emoji1]

The first week I barely lost:( the second week I lost and then after that it has been a bit of a roller coaster. However, in eating right and working out so I have made a COMMITMENT to TRUST THE PROCESS and lovingly encourage you to do the same[emoji4] I thought I would be down more but will take this as I'm sharing to encourage you (HW 215 SW 192 and looking forward to GW 135:)
Never forget God loves you and is protecting your body and you every step of this journey and your life[emoji120]?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
