Freaking out please advise!

Hey everyone,

I am 10 days post up and is beginning to feel hungry all day. I am on full liquids until Wednesday. I am nervous as to why am I still hungry after I eat or drink? Has anyone else experienced this?

It's all head hunger. I go through the same thing ! Did your surgeon give you an antacid? Because extra acid in the stomach can feel like hunger

Agreed it is head hunger and it will eventually get better as the days go by. Those first few weeks are tough but stay strong, you've got this!!

That is how I felt before I got the reflux medication. I would have a gnawing feeling in my stomach. No problems since starting protonix.

Tums are really for stat heartburn relief an antacid just controls the acidity in your stomach I would
Call your surgeons office and ask to be prescribed something

I call it psuedo-hunger.

Yes agreed this is head hunger. I dealt with during pre op liquid diet. Make sure you are drinking every hour. This helps me tons!
