Edgy and short tempered

Recommended Posts

So I'm 31 day post-op and I've found I'm very short tempered and edgy. It comes and goes but it can be bad at times. I just started Walk/jogging and feel great now. But is this normal? Has anyone else gone through this or going through this? Any advise is welcomed... Thanks!

Dude, you aren't alone:

That was me 4 months post op. Long story short, it's the hormone dump from all the fat we are finally using. It gets better.

Surgeon and nutritionist said to expect big adjustments both physically and mentally.
Hormone dumping is real and can make for a rough go in the beginning.
Just keep that in mind
when the emotions roll in and maybe that will help keep you grounded and be able to recognize when your overreacting.

I'm nearly 11 weeks post op and I'm just flat and emotionless!... I'm very angry as well. I can't laugh properly or feel pleasure it's sooooo bizarre.
I had it from the day I came out of hospital. I have seen my dr and my surgeon and both are a bit confused as to what it is. I was told about hormones etc but it still doesn't add up.
My husband is very patient with me and keeps telling me it will be ok.
It's prob a symptom of depression but I hope to God I get my old self back..
it's nothing to do with food or missing out etc... something inside has really changed.

Overreacting? Over. Reacting? OVER REACTING?! YOU ALWAYS DO THIS! BELITTLE THE SITUATION AND MAKE IT SEEM LIKE IT'S OUR FAULT! GOD... I CAN'T BELIEVE THE NERVE!

:P
