Sadiebug 206 Posted February 9, 2017 Anyone not feel great at 2 weeks post-op? Most of the time I have read that people felt totally normal by 2 weeks but I just don't . I feel a million times better than right after surgery but I still have pretty low energy, one of my incisions is still a bit sore when I bend and twist, I'm grumpy and whiny... I'm having no trouble getting Protein, Water, puréed foods or my Vitamins down but it's frustrating to still not feel "good". Any advice?? Thanks!Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Martha Parker-mcneal 166 Posted February 9, 2017 you are not out of the norm. some of us do feel better but some don't. remember you have had major surgery and your body has to have time to adjust. I did go back to work after 7 days but it took almost two months for me to have any energy. I would work and sleep ugh. just keep taking your Vitamins drinking your Water and getting as much Protein as you can. try to walk each day and go a little further every few days. it will come back good luck to you
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted February 9, 2017 You sound exactly how I felt at two weeks.. It gets better, so just hang on in there and you will be fine! Congrats on the surgery! Kate
Sadiebug 206 Posted February 9, 2017 Thanks everyone [emoji4]. Probably the lack of sunlight here in Indiana isn't helping either! It is good to hear that others were similar though. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
danaymacklin 177 Posted February 9, 2017 It takes time be patient with yourself and know that internally there are many adjustments taking place. I had to do the same and in some ways it's still a work in progress and my surgery was 12/1 but every week is process[emoji847]Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
