9 days post-op and finally feeling a little better

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to learn how to setup a profile and other than a name that's all I seem to be able to do. Anyways...I had gastric bypass 1/30/2017...

Went for my one week check up and I'm down 17 pounds since my surgery and have lost a total of 32 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Being on liquids for almost a month now has been a struggle but getting better. I find the mental side is harder to deal with right now than the physical side. It was a relieve to her from my nurse today that everything I've been experiencing is normal. It's a roller coaster but I'm hanging on.

Congratulations on your surgery.

As far as editing your profile - click on your name. That should open up a pull down menu. Select Profile. Then click on Edit Profile. (But if you have not already set up a profile it might give you a different choice such as set up profile.)

Mickie0130, I also had gastric bypass 1/30/2017!!! Had to have a second surgery on 2/4/2017 for bowel obstruction, which really set me back. Struggling to drink enough and right now, really regretting my choice. What have I done? Hope things look up soon for both is us!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
