I'm having a hard time getting in three calcium citrate chewables a day. If I'm lucky I get in two.i believe it's because of the two hours I have to space it between my Multivitamin. I'm concerned about the long term effects this could have on my body. Any suggestions?

Take a higher dosage and only take two like me:) I use Bariatric Advantage and the Carmel is like eating candy! The coconut is good too. Ordering other Flavors today and they have sample packs you can order. I only do the chews not chewable chalky tasting stuff makes it more tolerable.

The Vitamin sch can get confusing!! I take two Multivitamins in morning. Then 2 cal citrate and d (in same tablet) at lunch and then 2 again before bed. This seems to work well for me my blood tests since doing this are good. I don't need B12 but most people would need to take a dissolvable table of 1000 every other day.

Are you spacing each of them out every 2 hours? I too take my two Multi Vitamins in the AM but not both one at 9AM then the next at 11AM followed by same guidelines for lunch and dinner with Calcium and Iron.< br>

I have the Bariatric Advantage chews in orange. I don't like them. I recently got their cinnamon flavored chewables. I like those much better.
Can I take two in the morning and then one at night? Do they HAVE to be split throughout the day?. I think if I could do two together I could get them all in.

Are they the chewy bites vs chewables? In the chewy bites I have tried the dark cherry, strawberry watermelon, and Carmel are great! The coconut was decent but not as good as the above. I was told you can't take 2 at the same time because your body only has capacity to absorb one at a time which is why they say take one every 2 hours.

OK
Yes they are the chewy ones. I don't like them because it feels like it takes me forever to chew them down and I don't care for the taste it leaves in my mouth.

I would suggest telling them that and sending them back for a replacement to at least try another flavor. Never had this problem perhaps because I haven't tried the orange:)

I ended up going with the Upcal dissolving Calcium powder, I was a little hesitant at first but glad I did because you really do not notice it at all! It's a very fine tasteless powder and I put a scoop in my Protein Shake, mix into yogurt and even in Water and you cannot tell it's there. I don't like the chewy stuff that gets stuck in your teeth so this works for me

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
