vsgbeauty13 13 Posted February 8, 2017 Hey everyone thanks for taking time to read this, i just got operated for vsg single incision on jan 26, so im pretty much 2 weeks post op. Anyway my concern is i started having this clear/brown liquid coming out of my bellybotton (also thats where the incision is located) is this normal? I just saw my doctor this morning for a followup and he said everything seemed okay, now im a bit worried because theres alot i had to do today (chanhe my sons diapers, cook etc) maybe i over did it? If you have experienced this, any advice?
MissKay 329 Posted February 8, 2017 If it was a leak with your sleeve (internal) I don't believe you'd see this from the incision itself. That could just be discharged from the incision site as it's healing. If your surgeon saw it today and wasn't concerned, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep it clean and dry, and keep an eye on it. If it's still happening, gets worse, or becomes painful, then I'd call the surgeon/doctor's office and have them check it again to make sure everything is fine and dandy. 1 vsgbeauty13 reacted to this
Belladonnis 32 Posted February 8, 2017 The only thing I would be worried about would be infection. I would call my doctor just to let them know.Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App 1 vsgbeauty13 reacted to this
boilernos 11 Posted February 9, 2017 Your doctor said it was fine. Everything is fine. Don't overthink it and if you start feeling bad call your doc. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App 1 vsgbeauty13 reacted to this
Queenie4U 17 Posted February 9, 2017 I agree with MissKay and boilernos ..but I'd like to add that if you develop a fever or it's warm to the touch, you should also call your doctor.Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App 1 vsgbeauty13 reacted to this
