I take a Fiber pill three times a week and the directions say to drink it with a full 8oz of Water. I just wrote a blog post "everyone poops, until they can't" for this very reason :) If you have a strong stomach, I suggest reading it. I promise you will NEVER forget to take your Fiber after you read it! :)

I'm regular, but not doing anything special. I do use a Squatty Potty, though.

Was really backed up and had a Fiber one bar...it worked, like the everready bunny... going n going. Now, I rotate stool softener one day, half a fiber one cheesecake bar the next day. So far so good and steady weightloss. Just don't do the dumb sh!t i did n had a few of my nieces Mc D's french fries last week. 5 min later it was explosive. Now i know better. Don't judge me, nobodys perfect. Cleaned me out though. Lol.

Surgeon's RN told be to take Miralax in 8 oz liquid every day for right now. Almost 4 weeks out. Take simethicome chewable tablets as needed for trapped gas and 2 Pepcid a day 1 in the am and the other later in the day. This all helped me so very much. Pooping every day and Protein is very constipating, gas is under much better control and the indigestion is under control. I want to encourage you to call your doctor's office get their recommendations for helping yourself feel better! You can do this! Health and healing to you and God bless you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
