Levibotwin 3 Posted February 5, 2017 I had my surgery last wed (feb 1) and this afternoon I started to feel like I'm starving. My stomach is "growling" like it's empty and needs food. I'm drinking my fluids, eating popcicles and Jello and broth but still feeling like I could eat my arm I'm so hungry. I feel like I've been tricked! Anyone else feel this way? Nana1222 159 Posted February 5, 2017 It's very normal. Are you getting Protein in as well with fluids? It's the acid in your stomach but once you get to purée stage it's lots better. Just keep sipping this will pass before you know it. Congrats on your new journey. I'm 5 weeks out down 25 lbs and feeling great! Ldyvenus 317 Posted February 5, 2017 I wanted something more filling a few days post op also. Maybe you are ready to try yogurt or a few sips of Protein Shake?
Lema 236 Posted February 9, 2017 I used to get crazy hungry on that stage. I would take no sugar added apple sauce and mix it with diluted apple juice and that helped sometimes. I am 9 months out and I snack on 100 calories very very low sugar added soft tofu. It's filling and not at harmful as other Desserts. I wish I had discovered this when I was in my purée phase. It's 150 grams so you can make three Desserts from it. I don't eat it all at once.Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Berry78 4,261 Posted February 9, 2017 Be sure to stick to your diet and take your acid reducers. Maybe try to distract yourself... start a crossword puzzle or something to take your mind off baby tummy. (I swear these tummies are like real babies. Some are easy-peasy, not a moments trouble.....others cry nonstop!).Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
