transmformme 26 Posted April 24, 2017 The only issue I'd say I'm having is with my incisions. They sting sometimes and two still have stitches that I have to remove on my own. Other than that I'm okSleeved 4/15/17Height: 5'6"HW: 267SW: 244Current: 234This is the hardest obstacle I've ever tackled next to parenting, but I think I got this. Missie69 16 Posted April 24, 2017 Anyone up out there? My surgery is at 12 noon tomorrow and I'm getting nervous!
mycree 14 Posted April 24, 2017 I wish I was like all these posters who were feeling great a few days out of surgery. Today is post op day 11 for me and I feel horrible. The stinging pain in my indentation is enough to take my breath away. I know just what you mean. Tomorrow is my 3week post op and I too feel like ****. The surgical sites are not painful to me any longer. I haven't been on pain meds since day 3. Not because I didn't have pain but because I threw up every time I took it. The meds they gave me to keep that in check didn't work. I've been in the clinic 3x for fluids because I just can't hold enough down. I have hunger pains and when I eat or drink I get the gas pain that as you described as taking the breath out of me. The trauma of surgery is no joke and the body needs time to heal. It's wonderful so many are doing great. I just wanted you to know you are not alone. I know we will be there too but the journey isn't as easy for all of us that's for sure. PatientEleventyBillion 851 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) Lost most of the hospital weight I gained on IV fluids. And Day 4 I don't really feel like I need any pain meds anymore. As expected 4 days out it's mostly just a struggle to get an adequate amount of Protein and Vitamins. I sort of modified my plan since I have 2 doses of medication per day to add to the 3 doses of Calcium separated with the MV and Iron all independently. And you might surprise yourself - I only missed three full days of work. Then I went back to work for half days and worked from home. Good luck to you. 1 LittleWolf0911 reacted to this

Do you have any tips for me Just do what your doc says - drink your ounce of water/liquids every fifteen minutes while you are awake, move around as much as possible, take naps when you can, have sugar free popsicles on hand and be sure to take your anti-nausea medication every four hours. AKA do what your doc says and hopefully you should do well. 3 browneyesdebra, Cass Elliot and LittleWolf0911 reacted to this
