Just sleeved on 4/5. The first day was very rough and painful but things have been smooth sailing since! Little gas pain, no naseau, and no headache. Worst part is the soreness and pain on my incisions. I am also extremely tired but tonight couldn't sleep at all. Best wishes to all!

Today is the day. Arrived in Mexico yesterday and noe getting ready to head over to ALO Bariatric. It still hasn't fully hit me yet. I decided to travel alone which is now starting to make me a little nervous in case something happens. Last night I made the mistake of reading some people's horror stories. Advice to all of you April sleevers...do not do that the night before! I started having regret about this decision. Questioned my choice. Started thinking about all the "fun" things i will not be able to do anymore. Like go to happy hour a drink 3 or 4 beers, enjoy a drink with food, eat till im stuffed. Wait...are those really fun things?! Then I remembered all of those failed diet attempts! I started thinking about new fun things that I've wanted to do but held back by my weight. Like kayaking, hiking the harder trails, going to social events, and so so much more!
So there it is...thats why I'm here. I'm going to get my life back! I'm going to be the best me that I can be! Best of luck to the rear of you! I can't wait to see all of your results. We need to create an April Sleevers tab in the post op forum:)

I find my Apple Watch much more useful than my Fitbit. It gives you alerts throughout the day if your sitting for too long, or when you have reached your goal/s. The other great thing is while your exercise you can answer phone calls without trying to race for your mobile. I am a health worker and find it great for when I'm on call. Plus that Apple Watch is easy to change the bands.

Thank you! I will be going with Apple vs Fitbit!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
