I'm at 200.2 this morning so I should be in the fabulous 100s tomorrow! Any ideas on how I should celebrate/ reward myself in a non food way??? I was sleeved 12/19/16 :) Total loss of 75 pounds since 8/4/16!

Congratulations!!! That's a huge milestone! Keep up the good work. I told myself when I hit that mark I'm going to have a pampering day get my hair done or go get a massage or something nonfood related. Maybe just buy yourself a new outfit.

Congrats on your Quest to onederland .. I was sleeved on 12/5 and since surgery I have lost 32 lbs but since preop I have lost 55. I am now 187 lbs and started at 242 lbs. goal is 150lbs. I am happy for you because it feels great. Get a full body massage as a treat. You deserve it????

I agree with the pampering ideas: massage, facial, pedicure, something like that. Or how about buying an item of clothing that you'd next like to fit into? Like a dress two sizes down? Congratulations on your success!

Well of course I didn't get to the 100s this morning... thems the breaks. Should be there tomorrow though ugh! Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Today I am also 6 months free of nicotine as well as 6 months since I started this lifestyle change so I'm definitely going to do one of these awesome things suggested

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
