I use the unbranded version of Feminax. Ibuprofen and lysine work amazing well to kill pain in the body and is available in US & here in UK.

It works very well for Migraines too, hope you can find some relief

Eeeek! That is probably my biggest fear once a month I live on Midol for 3 days and I also suffer from migraines... Tylenol does nothing for me and caffeine personally makes it worse for me.. I'm also pretty accident prone..

The no NSAIDs was a huge worry for me. I have had an Rx for 800mg for 2 years for my period and Migraines associated with neck trauma from a car accident. So my PCP got me into a therapist on staff there that counts as a doc visit for insurance for monthly massages which keep the migraines away. Still concerned with period was sleeved on Monday and started my period today so we will see how it goes but I'm hopeful with weight loss and better diet they will be normal again.

Am I reading this right...and I ask because I suffer from debilitating migraines...your doctor has you approved for massages through another staff member?

Every doctor is different, we are allowed ibuprofen as long as it's not for constant use - twice a month usage for me on bad days has been approved.

we were told no ibuprofen ever. since I am older I was worried about joint pain in later life. so far the exercising has kept the pain at bay. talk to your dr or nurse pract. there are meds for Migraines that are acceptable. good luck to you

Danaymacklin - My PCP office has DO's who are MDs but have additional training in the muscular system and take a holistic approach to pain relief. It's billed as a Doctor Visit on my insurance because it is since they are MDs. Basically the same if I were going on and getting injections. It's something to check out.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
