All the plans are so different so its hard to say how quick it will take. Doctor's office told me 15 business days, but I called insurance company and asked them directly how long the pre approval process takes. Rep. told me 2-15 days but it ended up being only 3 days. cajun_queen 94 Posted February 6, 2017 Aggravated today, insurance has already approved but doctor hasn't received anything. Upon receipt of APPROVAL, doctor has to reverify insurance. I don't understand why they have to reverify when they just got approval, makes no sense to me. Why would insurance send approval if I'm not covered? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App No they didn't. I magically received an email about 20 minutes after calling that they received the approval. It's not the doctor, its his office staff. Does anyone else have BCBS TX?
