Once you start eating foods with actual substance you will start to notice the restriction. With just liquids you won't feel the same fullness as you will with solids.

It is VERY important that in these early weeks you weigh/measure your food and eat on a schedule. You cannot rely on "full" or "hungry" signals from your stomach, because there was a lot of damage to your nerves with the surgery. Your surgeon or nutritionist should have instructed you on how much to eat at one time. For me, in the puree stage, it was two ounces.

I've been worrying about that too... I'm still on full liquids and don't have much restriction at all... and everyone says well wait till you get to the puree stage... but in my head, pureed food isn't much different in consistency than pudding or yogurt, so I don't know how I'll feel then (I do have more restriction with those things than with clear liquids, but really not a whole lot).

I am 2 months out, I can "eat" anything. But with some foods there is nearly immediate restriction, with others almost nothing. So I need to stay disciplined and stay on the program. I am very grateful I can have 4-8 oz of Water without issue. But that luxury brings the risk of able to eat poor choices as well.
