Julie norton 2,850 Posted February 1, 2017 I believe this happens to many. Weight loss does get a bit tougher in maintenance . It is a daily issue for myself and many. I hope to put great days together and keep within my healthy range . Lots of Protein Drinks if I am up a bit.(banded 12/06) This is a life long lesson for me. And I keep getting schooled!! Some days are better than others. I am not giving up on this!! Hope you can find a way that works for your body. Sometimes staying a bit over a weight you like is what your body is saying to you. Whether you listen, or choose to battle it is truly up to you ! Good luck and keep posting!
chancyboo 1 Posted February 2, 2017 Hi, so I'm in my first year and have not gained anything back but I'm maintaining the weight I have now. However my little sister had it done over three years ago and I can tell you she's gained almost 40 pounds. I tell her all she needs to do is eat better and go to the gym but it's really hard once you get back into that funk. I really think there's a way to back. Maybe try to do your postop diet again 2 shakes and a healthy meal or just shakes and see if you can get yourself back on track. I wish you the very best Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
tizv123 23 Posted February 2, 2017 yes. I have gained 25 pounds back and looking into a resleeve or mini gastric bypass. I never met goal so I actually have about 60 pounds tolose. One doctor that I am in touch with suggested a surgery called the OCC Sleeve Rescue where they reduce your pouch size, They say they have done many of these for patients that were sleeved in the US and Canada that have lost their original restriction with the sleeve, or never really had enough restriction.
