itszee 16 Posted February 1, 2017 Hey everyone I've found so much useful information since I've joined and can't thank this community enough. Can you guys share tips on how to meet Protein goals on the first days or anything you wish someone had told you that would've made your post op easier. I'm so excited and so nervous at the same time I hope I can sleep tonight Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
biginjapan 647 Posted February 1, 2017 I'm having my sleeve done a week after you! Good luck! From what I've read on these forums, the most important thing to worry about in the week post-op is to keep your fluids up and try to get as much in as you can. Don't worry about Protein so much in the first week - some people can't tolerate it all. The main thing is to not get dehydrated and end up back in the hospital. I'm so excited and so nervous at the same time I hope I can sleep tonight Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I had a lot of abdominal pressure after surgery and found it hard to move around. I told my doc in the hospital and he ordered an abdominal binder. Its a band with Velcro closure. What a difference it made for me. Good luck on your journey.
