LacyLawson 3 Posted January 31, 2017 Hi everyone! I am having surgery on Feb 23 and I have decided that only my parents and my husband will know. I had previously booked a trip to Florida with friends that is now 3 weeks post open. Is there any way I could get the earing changes by them? Any ideas on what I could blame a special diet on? I live my friend but she and her husband have never struggled with their weight and will just never understand! Any advice will be appreciated Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
GottaDoBetter 0 Posted February 1, 2017 I would just tell your friends that you are committed to a new and healthy lifestyle, and that you are making changes to support that.
Berry78 4,261 Posted February 1, 2017 At only 3 weeks post op, you will possibly still be sore and tired. You'll be well off to say you had a hernia operation and you have to take it easy. Explains your diet too. Make sure to bring a pillow in case of coughing or laughter! Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
Treadmillwalker 486 Posted February 2, 2017 Stick with soft foods such as fish, Soup, tuna salad, etc. Avoid bread, steak, Chew really well and eat slowly. These tips will help it not be obvious to your friends.
Berry78 4,261 Posted February 2, 2017 Not sure what your diet is supposed to be 3 weeks out, but do NOT go off the diet. Make up whatever story you want, but don't "cheat". Sent from my SM-N920R4 using the BariatricPal App
Vinasu 621 Posted February 2, 2017 I told people that I'm on a medically- supervised diet and my nutritionist had given me directions to jump start weight loss. No one cares after that. At 3 weeks you'll be in soft foods, so order lots of Soups Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
