This s*!t is about to get serious

Recommended Posts

Need someone to hold me accountable.

I'm seven months out from surgery and Im having the worst stall.

Today is the last day of "bad coffee".

I'm about to get very strict on my diet ie. Protein, carbs, calories, and Water intake.

this is day 1 of 5 for cardio.

Day 1 of 3 for strength training.

I'm tired of getting passed up by people that had surgery around the same time as me. So I'm gonna get a little competitive and do more and be more. I'll be damned if I went through this only to lose 55 pounds.

Ok.... Now that my rant is done.

If anyone wants to keep me in check please do.

You can do it!!! Think of everything you've been thru.

In 3 months do you want to weigh the same or do you want to lose weight? Because time is passing despite the choice you make.

What have you been doing right and what have you been doing wrong? What changed for you?

What happened that made you start drinking bad coffee? I'm assuming sweetened calorie filled coffee? ?

What do you need from us to help you along?

What ever help yall can think of to keep me in line. I'll accept it.

Yes my bad coffee is full of sugar and cream. I also have become addicted to it and wine. So I'm gonna cold turkey and stop this madness. I've been just getting by as far as doing things right. I'm going to be accountable for everything I consume. I've got to be stronger than this.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
